Rod grew up as the youngest of seven children in the town of West Islip on Long Island in New York. He met his bride Keri while at Oswego University in 1984. They married four years later and in 1994 they move to the woods of Beach Lake, Pa. where they had constructed a log home. Since then God has blessed them with 5 children; Emily 28, Reed 25, Brenna 22, Tara 20, and Braden 17. They’ve also been blessed with 3 grandchildren; Greyson, Wesley and Emelia. Rod has worked in public education for the past 33 years, first as a science teacher and then as a school principal for the last 25 years. Rod was called to serve as our pastor in 2015 by a vote of the membership. As a full-time principal, the father of 5 children, serving as a Little League coach and an elder in his former church, Rod was hesitant to accept the call. Rod and Keri committed to praying about the decision for two weeks before responding to the call. Rod was convinced in his heart that he would wait two weeks and then say “thank you but no thanks, I am too busy.” Then when the two weeks was almost up, while talking to a Christian friend at work about the call, the full conviction of the Holy Spirit fell over Rod and he realized “he” could not do it but God in him could do all things! Driving home that day he wondered how he would tell Ker that he was going to say yes to the call. He thought of all of her responses “no way”, “you’re too busy”, “we have too much going on”, “are you crazy?” Arriving home he entered the house with trepidation preparing to tell Keri of the conviction he received from the Holy Spirit. Before he could say a word Keri blurted out, “you are supposed to do it!” Rod confused responded, “do what?” “You are supposed to Pastor that church” Keri replied, “what?” Rod responded in amazement. Keri then explained that while vacuuming that afternoon, about the same time Rod was talking to his friend, the Holy Spirit brought full conviction to her heart that they were supposed to say YES to the call and just Trust God. Rod and Keri did say YES to the call that day and have joyfully pastored the White Mills Community Church ever since. Satan has sought to discourage them at times with various family problems, Keri’s battle with breast cancer, Rod’s ongoing battle with Lyme disease, et. al. but like Paul the apostle they are “not ashamed nor discouraged, for they know whom they have believed and they are persuaded that He is able to keep that which they have committed onto Him against that Day!” -2 Timothy 1:12

After 21 years as a bond trader in NYC, Barry was ordained, entering fulltime ministry with Executive Ministries and Family Life Ministries. Along with his wife, Pam, they disciple men and women through biblical teaching and mentoring. They spent 18 years as marriage conference speakers with Family Life at their “Weekends To Remember”, traveling extensively in the US and abroad. Pam holds a Masters degree in education and is a popular Bible teacher and speaker with women’s groups. A great source of joy are their two children, their 9 grandchildren and their 3 great-grandchildren!

Dan grew up in Harford, PA and now lives in Lakeville with his wife Jody, son Christopher, and daughter Elizabeth. Dan is in his 26th year in education, spending time as a high school math teacher, science teacher, and administrator at almost every grade level. He is currently an assistant principal at the Swiftwater Intermediate School of the Pocono Mountain School District. Dan also recently re-enlisted in the army national guard after taking a break for several years. Dan and his family have attended the White Mills Community Church for 5 years.

Nick grew up in Damascus PA and now lives in Honesdale with his wife, Vanessa, and their daughter, Lucy. Both Nick and Vanessa are teachers in the Wayne Highland School District. Nick teaches sixth grade math and Vanessa teaches first grade. Along with serving on the board, Nick also serves as a teacher in our youth ministry. He is a craftsman at heart and loves “garage projects.” Although he has worn many hats, Dad is his absolute favorite.

Daryl grew up the youngest of 4 in Glade Springs, Virginia. After meeting his wife while she was visiting Family in the area, he moved to her hometown of Honesdale Pa. Daryl and Tina have been married For 32 years, with 2 sons. Their oldest Riley who is 25 and Aiden, who they look forward to reuniting with again in Heaven. Daryl has worked at Marshall Machinery in Beach Lake, Pa. for the past 10 years. Tina owns a home daycare with 34 years of experience. She also works part time as the church secretary. Daryl and Tina were part of the original 15 or so members of the congregation hanging on, trusting , “ For I know the plans I have for you; declares the Lord,’ plans to prosper you and not to harm you, Plans to give you hope and a future.” --- Jeremiah 29:11 Over the past 7 + years under the leadership and guidance of Pastor Rod and his wife Keri , they have both grown tremendously in their walk with the Lord.
